Mee Kuah a.k.a Soup Noodle

Yeay!!! Finally I got a chance to cook mee kuah (the translation as above)....Me and my husband was visiting my husband's friend house last week. He is a great cook and he loves to cook. So he treated us with this special meal which is called mee kuah. All you need is to make the kuah aka soup and just prepare the noodle and serve it with dried ingredients such as tofu, fried potatoes, bean sprout, chopped chillies, sliced limes, fried tempe, vegetables etc...its pretty simple....

Flower

To make the soup you need to boil the beef overnight.

The next day, blend the dried chili (you need to cut into small pieces and boil it too) together with onion, garlic and ginger. I called this as A

Fried an A with cooking oil until it become a little bit dry

Put some water

Put oyster sauce and soya sauce

Blend raw potatoes and mix with it as well

Dont forget to put the beef stock as well

Boil it with low heat until it cook well

Soup

Then for the dried ingredients, you can just chop, fry or boil it.

Lime and chili

Tempe and fried potatoes

Boiled king prawn and pak choi

I use spaghetti =)

Oh, dont forget to boil the noodle too. Alternatively you can use fine spaghetti too. NO big difference

How to prepare the mee kuah? Put all the dried ingredients into small plates. Put noodle into a bowl. Choose your fav dried ingredients and put it on top of the noodle. And lastly, pour the soup into the bowl. TADAAA......your Mee Kuah is NOW ready to EAT!!! ENJOY!!!!!

NOw ...Its dinner time!!!

Forget to mention...and the beverage as well
