French Macaroon

This is one of my favaurite cookies. I never knew this till my friend brought me to Laduree shop to buy some for her.

"What is this? Looks delicious."

"Its macaroon. French macaroon."

"I can see there are so many colours and I suppose flavours.''


"You can choose any of them. And try it. Then you know what flavour you like."

"How much?"

"Oh, its quite expensive. 1.60 euro per cookie."

"Damn expensive! I'm going to get 2 only."

Since it is too costly to try it all for the first time, I just bought 2 flavours only. Vanilla and pistachio flavours. But my friend, she bought most of the flavours. Thanks to her. So I tried the other flavours. Honestly the flavours that I chosed were the one that I like the most.

Yesterday I went again to Laduree shop. This time I brought some of my friends and husband. I bought 15 cookies and shared it with them. They liked it too =). I was so happy.





I wish I could make some for me and him. French macaroon is just like a sandwich. There is a cream in between the cookies. To make the cookie part I think its pretty simple. I can watch it in YouTube. The problem is how to make the cream? Most of the video are in French language. I don't understand. Could someone share with me how to make it?
